I broke my touch screen, then replaced it with a new one together with lcd from aliexpress. It worked fine for a month. But now there's no sign of life. Not even vibrating or charging. Before this there was a frozen ACER logo, then nothing else.
Battery seems to be ok. Voltage can be measured when tablet is plugged and it keeps it.
I tried many ways of reset hopelessly, nothing happens.

Tablet vibrates when the charger is connected and the tablet will not turn on

There are no answers to the questions ANYWHERE, ie: NO SOUND/SOUND SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING......I've looked and askedf and read all over the net for this issue!!! It seems quite clear, ITS UNFIXABLE!! So here is **THE SOLUTION I PROMISE WILL WORK** DO NOT BUY AN ICONIA ACER A1 810 TABLET!!!! IT TOTALLY SUCKS, AND QUITE OBVIOUSLY HAS A SOUND/VOLUME GLITCH, BUT IT REMAINS TO BE SOLD! I saw posts for this issue from 2011, how pathetic! If the price seems " OMG, THATS SO CHEAP" , Then duhhhh....its a piece of s**t!

Screen starts jumping and all app icons are distorted. Also while using it recently, screen went black but you could see light around the edge of the screen. Both these have happened only once but have only had the tablet for 3 weeks.

Camera won't work, did a month ago and works for Skype, clearly a common problem from their website but they haven't answered it, just stuck on black camera screen before freezing and eventually saying 'close gallery unresponsive'. Apparently all they say is do factory reboot which looses everything yet doesn't fix problem at all, is no different? Tried downloading new camera apps but this doesn't work either.

Problem: The battery runs out far to quickly. Does anyone else's have such poor battery life?

There are 0 comments on this problem.

Solution 1: Generally speaking, the bigger the screen and the more functions in use (e.g. bluetooth, wifi, gps etc), the faster your battery will run down. Google "Typical Battery life" for your tablet and see what other people are getting. If you are getting much (more than about 40%) worse battery life and you have turned off all unnecessary applications, functions and services, your unit may have other issues and you should contact the manufacturer / your retailer to investigate further.
Number 1: Turn off unnecessary functions
Number 2: Turn the screen brightness down
Number 3: Get a battery saver app that will show you what's using your battery so much.

Problem: Horrible distortion coming from the speaker.

There are 0 comments on this problem.

Solution 1: Turn the volume down - does that solve the problem? If you are getting distortion on all sounds, your speaker may be damaged. If you can play some sounds fine and others are distorted, it is probably not a speaker issue, rather a problem with the specific files or applications you are using. Try to turn the volume down within that application and see if that helps.

It can be any one of a number of reasons. For example, once a pin had got stuck in the speaker grille - it was magnetically attached! - and when I removed it, the distortion was gone! Check your speaker for contamination.

Problem: It keeps freezing, locking and rebooting, shutting itself down and restarting. It's so frustrating!

There are 0 comments on this problem.

Solution 1: Check the app you're using at the time - certain apps take a lot of processing power. Now I'm not necessarily saying you don't have enough power to run the app (I don't know what app you're using or how many you're using at the same time!) but it's worth noting that many tablets reduce their processing power when the battery is low - have you noticed this?

Problem: I dropped it an cracked the screen. It still works, but now I have a huge scratch down the front.

There are 0 comments on this problem.

Solution 1: Cracks and scratches are different things. Cracked screens are more serious and might need to be replaced, but scratches can occasionally be removed, depending on how deep they are. You might want to try a scratch remover (like 3M's) or gently rubbing with a piece of cardboard, but a better way to repair it is to get a film screen protector - it will prevent future scratches, is easy to apply and sometimes makes shallow scratches less visible.

Problem: Help! I have completely immersed my tablet in water, now it's not working? What can I do? Is the water damage permanent?

There are 0 comments on this problem.

Solution 1: It's not necessarily broken. But - VERY IMPORTANT - don't press the buttons, plug it in, or try to turn it on in ANY WAY! You have to leave it to dry before passing an electrical current through it. Leave it for a few days without power. When you are sure that the water inside has evaporated (some people leave them in boxes of dried rice to absorb the water), you can try turning it on again. But DON'T USE IT FOR A WHILE YET! If you want to be safe, leave it in a dry place for a week. You can't use it today or tomorrow, it's too soon.

- how long ago was this post submitted, because I am having the same problem with mine. I got it this past Christmas, so it's only been 2 months. If it had another type of battery other than a Lithium it would probably last longer?

Solution 1: Try to change the battery.

Solution 2: From your main screen touch and drag from right top to bottom and a hidden menu will appear from which you can turn on screen rotation. Also the same can be done in the settings menu after selecting the display tab and then touch and drag from top right to the bottom of the screen. You may have to do it a few times as I had to.This worked for me with Acer tech help.

Problem: No sound coming from the speaker.

There are 0 comments on this problem.

Solution 1: Check (1) the volume setting (may be different for different apps) and (2) check any speakers or earphones you are using by trying them out on a different device.
