Problem: Horrible distortion coming from the speaker.

Solution 1: Turn the volume down - does that solve the problem? If you are getting distortion on all sounds, your speaker may be damaged. If you can play some sounds fine and others are distorted, it is probably not a speaker issue, rather a problem with the specific files or applications you are using. Try to turn the volume down within that application and see if that helps.

It can be any one of a number of reasons. For example, once a pin had got stuck in the speaker grille - it was magnetically attached! - and when I removed it, the distortion was gone! Check your speaker for contamination.

Problem: It keeps freezing, locking and rebooting, shutting itself down and restarting. It's so frustrating!

Solution 1: Check the app you're using at the time - certain apps take a lot of processing power. Now I'm not necessarily saying you don't have enough power to run the app (I don't know what app you're using or how many you're using at the same time!) but it's worth noting that many tablets reduce their processing power when the battery is low - have you noticed this?

Problem: I dropped it an cracked the screen. It still works, but now I have a huge scratch down the front.

Solution 1: Cracks and scratches are different things. Cracked screens are more serious and might need to be replaced, but scratches can occasionally be removed, depending on how deep they are. You might want to try a scratch remover (like 3M's) or gently rubbing with a piece of cardboard, but a better way to repair it is to get a film screen protector - it will prevent future scratches, is easy to apply and sometimes makes shallow scratches less visible.

Problem: Help! I have completely immersed my tablet in water, now it's not working? What can I do? Is the water damage permanent?

Solution 1: It's not necessarily broken. But - VERY IMPORTANT - don't press the buttons, plug it in, or try to turn it on in ANY WAY! You have to leave it to dry before passing an electrical current through it. Leave it for a few days without power. When you are sure that the water inside has evaporated (some people leave them in boxes of dried rice to absorb the water), you can try turning it on again. But DON'T USE IT FOR A WHILE YET! If you want to be safe, leave it in a dry place for a week. You can't use it today or tomorrow, it's too soon.

Solution 1: It is not so clear to me what you mean. There are 2 possibilities.
1. Your tablet cannot connect to your WiFi network. The t1006 is quite simple, so this is most likely a problem
With your router or your password is incorrect. Try to reconnect to your WiFi by entering the password again on the t1006.

2. You cannot connect to certain secure sites anymore (SSL authentication problem). I am seeing this now as I believe it is a problem with older versions of android running Chrome or the default built in simple browser. You can resolve this issue by installing and using Firefox as your browser.

Problem: The wifi has failed doesnt pick up the wifi signal after going into settings switching on wifi and scan function

Solution 1: When you switch on the WiFi does the switch remain in the ON position? If it switches back to OFF by itself, then probably the WiFi board has failed. I believe this is a small independent board inside the tablet, which could be replaced.
As a check also, when the WiFi scans does it find any networks at all? My tablet finds all the neighbours networks, so if the network list is empty, again probably your WiFi board has failed. If you see networks listed,you have a connection problem which is possibly not a fault with the tablet.

Problem: my dgm t-1006 is stuck on the dgm logo and wont go of ive reset it n it still wont load up ive only had it for 2 months help plz

Solution 1: Mine has also behaved in a similar manner, rebooting in a loop and other such symptoms, refusing to load the operating system. The only way I have (luckily) found to cure this is to let the battery go completely flat, leave it for a couple of days and then recharge it. This has worked for me so far. Once when it appeared to have no effect on the problem, I left it switched off for 24 hours and then it switched on OK. Sounds weird but it worked for me.
